chronic disease

Every day people drop dead when only moments before they felt great.

A couple of the top killers in society today are cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.

I’ve heard way too many times of people having sudden heart attacks or being rushed to the hospital from a spontaneous cardiovascular or cerebrovascular event.

The Predictability of Chronic Disease

In most cases, these things were anything but sudden or spontaneous. They were an accumulation of years of habits and rituals that created the build-up that PREDICTABLY caused the event.

An event is actually a misnomer. It is more of a process. It is a process of habits leading to accumulation leading to degradation that caused the COMPLETION of the process.

What Makes Us Different?

It is due to health and sickness being a process that we take such pride in how thorough our evaluation and chiropractic care process is. We take the time to get to know our patients and their unique situation. Rather than chasing after symptoms with band-aids, we look to see what PROCESS has been occurring that has led to the problem our patient is experiencing at the moment.

If you want to improve your health, you have to get to the cause of the problem.

Especially today with metabolic syndrome being a major contributor to the negative effects of COVID-19, it is more important today than ever before that we take better care of ourselves.

Everything Matters

What we eat matters. How we move matters. What we think about matters. How we breathe and sleep matters. The adaptability of our nerve system matters.

What is one small step you can take this week that will create the biggest impact on your health?

Stop justifying your behaviors with excuses or pointing out things that you are already doing well. That does nothing to move the needle.

What are you going to do this week that is DIFFERENT and will be an IMPROVEMENT from previous weeks?

For me, I ordered a wearable HRV, sleep, and physiology tracker that I can use to hold myself accountable for my behaviors.

If I mess up, it is going to let me know and then I can fine-tune my behaviors to get better results.

What is your plan?

If you don’t have one, reach out to us at Precision Chiropractic serving the Charlotte, Matthews, and surrounding areas and we would love the opportunity to help you.

Sincerely,

Matthew Westheimer, DC
