Poor Sleep

Taking a step towards the night of sleep you have been dreaming about…

Chiropractic for Poor Sleep

There are very few things worse than a bad night’s sleep. Whether it’s a challenge to fall asleep or it is a restless sleep, it ruins the entire next day. Many people can get through a day after one night of poor sleep, but what happens when that stretches to more than one day? Our productivity goes down and our irritability goes up.

We become less productive at work, our immune system goes down, our stress goes up, and everything seems to bother us. Many times this can lead to depression and hormone issues as well.

As science evolves and our knowledge of the effect that sleep has on health, we realize more and more that many health issues such as depression, diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic issues can be in part attributed to poor sleep.

While chiropractic care is not a treatment or cure for poor sleep, the most common response we hear from all of our patients is a drastic improvement in the quality of their sleep. We have had patients that haven’t slept a full night for years report better sleep than they can remember in their life.

How would your life be impacted if you could sleep well again? What would you be able to accomplish with double or triple the amount of energy than you have right now?

Why Choose Precision Chiropractic?

With corrective chiropractic care, our goal is to get to the root cause of your poor sleep, and we are honored and privileged to serve the amazing people of Charlotte, Matthews, Weddington, Ballantyne, Waxhaw, and the surrounding areas.

Call us and find out if your poor sleep is due to a neurostructural shift in your spine.

I used to experience crippling migraine attacks at least twice a month, often more regularly, which would not be alleviated by pain medication. These attacks meant that I could not engage in the work and leisure activities that I enjoyed. The medication, if and when it worked, only treated the symptoms and I always dreaded the next attack.

I’m into my third week of chiropractic care. I am very happy that I’ve not experienced any migraine attacks since the start of treatment. I’m also sleeping better and feel more confident going about my life without worrying about any impeding attack.

My advice for those receiving chiropractic care is to not only be faithful to the scheduled treatments, but also adopt good spine care habits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is sleep important?

Sleep is one of the most important and valuable things we can do for our health. During sleep, your brain cleans up cellular garbage, repairs your body, and reorganizes neural networks. Your brain has a glymphatic system that is a network of vessels that clears waste from the brain while you sleep.

What if I can function on less sleep?

Chances are if you are reading this, you are having trouble or are at least concerned about your sleep. There is a genetic variant that can allow certain people to need less sleep and still be healthy but it is very rare. The likelihood is that you are not one of them. Even if you are able to function on less sleep, it is most definitely negatively impacting your health in ways you probably don’t even realize. If you are struggling with your sleep, it is imperative that you get that addressed asap.

Why is poor sleep so dangerous?

Sleep is one of the most powerful strategies our body has to stay healthy. There is a reason why we were designed to be unconscious for 1/3 of our life. It is pretty important. Research is finding that lack of quality sleep over a long period of time is one of the most powerful contributors to Alzheimer’s, dementia, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

Can structural chiropractic help my poor sleep?

The most common feedback we have gotten from the thousands of patients we have served over the years is improved sleep. Correcting abnormal shifts in the spine, helping to balance and down regulate the nerve system, and create a better environment in the body for healing through corrective chiropractic care usually results in a much better quality of sleep.
