It started with mold at work and I was sick for years. It eventually turned into asthma and required lots of doctors and drugs. We abandoned the building and moved to a clean location, the asthma finally subsided, and I got off all of the medications.
I got out of bed one morning feeling pretty good but then my neck, shoulders began to get very stiff, and my right shoulder and hand hurt. It progressed to burning and tingling at times. Eventually, it got to the point where I could not even use my right and hand for ANYTHING. It was almost as if my right arm was paralyzed yet was extremely painful as well. It became so bad I had to train myself to become left-handed.
My medical doctor ordered an MRI, which I tried to do twice, but couldn’t even do because it was impossible for me to lower my head because the pain was so bad. I was then referred to an orthopedic surgeon who sent me to physical therapy, which got me no results, and then I was approved for a stand-up MRI.
My diagnosis was herniated discs in my neck and back. I was then sent to an orthopedic pain specialist who administered 3 epidurals in my spine and 6 injections in my back and shoulder. Four months later and there was still relief. I was referred to a neurologist and received a nerve conduction test. The doctor said it was possibly Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and I was given Lyrica for the tingling in my fingers. It helped a little bit but I was still in significant pain. I was referred back to the pain specialist and he wanted me to go back to the orthopedic surgeon to get carpal Tunnel surgery.
I was uneasy about having surgery so I went back to my primary physician who told me to try chiropractic care. Soon after, I met Dr. Westheimer at a health fair. Two weeks into treatment the pain started to subside. I stopped taking my medication one month into treatment I was living pain FREE and had full use of my arm again. I could also look up for the for the first time in over a year. My life has been completely transformed.
P.S. five weeks ago I could not have written this letter with my right hand.
